Indian Creek teacher, Steve Hardwick, received the “Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year” award from District 11 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Mr. Hardwick is being recognized at the regional level and will now continue to the State level of this competition process.

Mr. Hardwick teaches fifth grade and receives this honor because of the innovative ways he teaches history at the elementary level. Students in his class thrive in an interactive learning environment.
