Patrick Mann will host Flamingo Friday this week (8/22/08) 11923 Glen Scott Drive. Anytime after 6:30pm. Please don’t forget your lawn chairs, cooler with beverages and a dish to share! You may also want to bring bug spray for the kids! See you there for the fun!
Glen Cove will unfortunately not be participating in the National Night Out program held on August 5th. We will discuss the National Night Out event and the Crime Watch program in more detail at our annual Block Party to be held in September. Pending schedules, the Mayor of Lawrence and/or Officer Ashcraft will plan on attending. Date to be determined. Thank you.

The Glen Cove H.O.A. is looking to have our Covenants and Restrictions updated. It has been more than 10 years since the last revision and it is time! If you would like to volunteer to help in this important project, please let any of the board members know! Jackie Turner, will be leading this project, as it is her area of expertise! Please volunteer to help and let your suggestions be known!! Thank you!
Glen Cove Residents we need your help! Vandalism is out of control in our neighborhood and needs to be stopped. Please contact Marcia Gregory, our crime watch coordinator, at 431-7617 to schedule a time to be a part of our “watch patrol” team! Each of our streets needs several volunteers. We are scheduling 1 hr. times from 11pm - 3 am on Friday and Saturday nights until we catch these petty criminals. Please do your part in helping with these senseless acts of vandalism. It’s that time of year again for Flamingo Fridays!! Be on the look out for the “pink” birds in one of our homeowner’s yards on Fridays!! Everyone is welcome to join in the fun. Hosts provide paper goods and drinks for the kids. Guests bring a dish to share, your lawn chair(s) and your own beverages (cooler)! Generally the fun starts around 6-6:30pm and lasts until it’s time to get the kids home for bed……or the hosts shut off the lights!! We will have a sign up sheet available to schedule hosts. More information to follow.
Please keep an eye out for vandals who have been visiting our neighborhood again! We had 2 street signs taken down as well as five of our neighbors had their mailboxes destroyed this past Saturday night. Admiral’s Landing has had similar reports of vandalism as well. Please report any suspicious activities or any vandalism that may happen to you…to the Lawrence Police Dept. 545-7575. They will step up patrols of our area and hopefully we’ll catch these culprits!

Welcome Glen Cove residents to our new website. This site is to keep you up to date with the happenings of our neighborhood. Please let us know what you would like to see posted on this site. You will find a copy of the covenants and restrictions along with the by-laws for our neighborhood posted. We will also have available the Architectural control committee’s homeowner request form for any exterior changes made to your home including roofing, painting, mail boxes and lamp posts. This site is currently under construction and will be updated regularly.
