Whale of a Potty Training Method Beaches at Geist
July 26, 2007 by TomBritt
If you’ve ever had to potty train a youngster, you know first hand how tiring and frustrating it can be. While there might not be a magic wand to wave over their heads, but thanks to a Geist couple a new product is coming to market that might just be the answer.
The Original Pot-Tee Prize Grab Bag, the brainchild of Beam Reach residents Janet and Mike Harris, is a new process that offers a fresh solution to those soiled problems.
“We used this method on our son Kyle and it worked,” said Janet. “When my girlfriends would call and ask for advice, I’d share with them my experiences with Kyle and it worked for them, too.”
One friend in particular, Betsy Lackey, called Janet for advice for their daughter Laura in mid 2005.
“She really encouraged me to productize this idea,” Janet recalled.
The idea brewed for about six month while Janet and Mike tended to their existing coffee distribution business, Mission Coffee & Tea. Husband and business partner Mike Harris recalls a conversation last summer at the Hawthornes pool where he asked Janet, “when are you going to do something with that potty training idea you had a few years back?”
Eighteen months later, the Pot-Tee Prize system is an actual product ready for retail distribution. With a website at www.pot-teeprize.com, the Janet and Mike look to sell a limited number of the locally produced packages via the Internet to gather valuable market data from consumers all over the United States. Survey data, testimonials, and demographic information from these sales will give Pot-Tee Prize the market information needed to go primetime.
“It’s exciting, and we know from everyone that has tried it that it works. Now we just have to get some of these sold and hear from people that we don’t know what they think of the product. It’s pretty exciting,” added Mike.
The Original Pot-Tee Prize Grab Bag system is available online at www.pot-teeprize.com for an introductory price of $22.95.
