Crime Alert in Windermere

The Fishers Police Department is investigating the report of a home invasion that occurred at approximately 2:30 am on Sunday, April 29th. The incident occurred in the 10300 Block of Woods Edge Drive in Windermere.

The homeowner told police that she had just arrived at her home and was standing in the kitchen when she heard the door open. She looked and saw a man standing at the door. The homeowner screamed at the man and he turned and ran out of the garage. The homeowner thought she heard a car pull away, but is not sure it was the suspect leaving.

The suspect is described as a black male. The suspect entered the home through the open garage door. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fishers Police Department.

The police department also took three additional theft from vehicle reports this weekend. The incidents occurred at local businesses. The first two occurred at a business near 141st and SR. 37 and the other at 131st and SR 37. In all three incidents a window was smashed to gain entry.
