How do you post a classified ad?

Several of you have had problems posting free online classifieds to our Geist Classifieds weblog. Here is a short step-by-step explanation of what you need to do in order to post classified ads online to the Geist Blogs Network of weblogs.
1. You must first be registered to the Geist Blogs Network (click here)
After you are registered, you can now post articles or calendar events to atGeist.com only. You can ’save’ your postings, but only an atGeist.com editor can actually ‘post’ them, making them live on the weblog. Attending one of our free blog training classes will enable you to post your own content without editor’s approval.
2. You must “Request Permission to Post” to the weblog of your choice by clicking on the “Request to Post” tab at the top of that weblog. For example, to post classifieds, you’ll need to visit the atGeist Classifieds and click on the “Request to Post” tab at the top of the weblog.
The weblog administrator will add your login information to the site so that you can post articles, calendar events, or classifieds.
We have updated our online “Help” weblog with more information if you have questions. We also encourage you to attend one of our free monthly blog training classes to learn the ins and outs of registration, posting photos, adding links and tables to your posts, and much more. The first class is January 22nd from noon to 1:30 pm at the Old National Bank at Fall Creek Road and 79th Street. To RSVP, fill out the form below, seating is limited to the first 20 participants.
