Booming McCordsville Now Has a Boutique: Urban Loft

Geist residents Maria Christensen and Dan Justus were discussing the future of one of their rental properties in McCordsville when they got an idea.
“This house is right on Pendleton Pike and we see tons of traffic,” said Justus who also owns Dark Armies, an indoor paintball facility near downtown Indianapolis.
In lieu of finding another tenant for the two-story home, Justus and Christensen decided to open a boutique called Urban Loft. Both are banking on the urban sprawl of Indianapolis/Geist/Lawrence and the booming McCordsville coorididor at Mt. Comfort Road and Pendleton Pike.
Urban Loft offers home decor, gifts for babies to over the hill-aged friends, kitchen accessories, high-end food and dessert items, and of course women’s clothing and accessories.
“We try to carry a lot of unique items that women in this area need to host a party,” said Christensen holding a hand-painted martini glass with a recipe etched on the bottom.
Stop in and visit the next time you feel like spending some time in a boutique but don’t want to deal with the traffic of Castleton or Fishers. Urban Loft is located just west of the Mt. Comfort Road/Pendleton Pike intersection in McCordsville.
