Blog Review by Second Place Winner, Scott Spitz

Our half marathon second place winner Scott Spitz wrote an extensive blog post review of the Geist Half Marathon from his perspective. He comments on the hilly course and fan support:

We ran side by side going into the neighborhood and started passing clumps of neighbors who were cheering us on with cowbells, chants, and all kinds of other amusing revelry. This was certainly a change of spectatorship from all the other races I’ve been in that no one really watches. This was exciting. I was feeling strong at this point and we started encountering the rolling hills that seem to define these neighborhoods.
