How would you like to custom choose your own in-ground pool, decking and landscaping all at one convenient location? You can now at the new Legacy Pools, located within MacLean Gardens off of 126th Street west of Olio Road.
“We specialize in custom in-ground pools at affordable prices,” said Ron Frushon, president of Legacy Pools. “With Legacy Pools you can have the choice of size, shape, depth and interior color to create your own personalized backyard paradise.”
Ron has 30 years of experience, building pools in Central Indiana since 1977. Legacy uses all in-house, factory-trained employees with no subcontractors like other pool companies.
Legacy Pools is actually a division of Perma Glass Corp., the second largest pool builder in Indianapolis. Perma Pools, a sister division to Legacy, is already a dominant player in the Indianapolis market in high-end fiberglass pools. Perma Pools provides Legacy with a stable economic base, office staff, existing service capability and equipment. In turn, Legacy offers diversification and growth opportunities.
“Legacy Pools is a one-stop shop!” exclaims Bill Lambert, chairman of Legacy Pools.
Legacy is the only pool company here in Indianapolis that has an-in ground operating model pool on display. If you drive to MacLean’s Garden Center at this moment, you could dip your foot into the cool water of the display pool and see some features (such as how the automatic pool cover works) in person.
Legacy is all about diversity. Where most pool companies offer white inserted plastic steps leading into the pool, Legacy allows the customer steel stairs lined in vinyl which adds bold color to the total look of your pool.
In addition, you could view some unique options for bordering your liner on the upper perimeter of the pool—much like a frame borders a picture. Where many pool companies offer white plastic coping, Legacy offers a choice of brick pavers, concrete or aluminum.
“We wanted to provide a location where a customer could actually see, touch and feel an operating custom pool, deck options, retaining walls and landscape options,” says Bill.
Customers can walk into Legacy and not only choose their custom pool but also design the pool decking (pavers or stamped, colored concrete) and landscaping to border the pool.
“Because of our unique relationship with MacLean Garden Landscaping Center, you can create and complete your backyard design from A to Z,” says Ron.
Legacy has a retail center with chemicals and main equipment for your pool care needs located inside MacLean Garden Center. Ron remarks: “We offer a full array of automatic safety covers and upscale options with dozens of choices in liner patterns.”
Also, Legacy offers full after-sale service including pool openings, closings, liner replacement and renovations. And for anyone who bought a pool from another company, Legacy can service you with a new custom liner, new decking or perhaps add a slide or waterfall. They are also running some special promotions during the month of May. Find out more at www.legacypools.net.
Human pacemaker was implanted to a dog by Dr. Betsy Hutchens, a Geist area veterinarian

Dr. Betsy Hutchens, a Geist area veterinarian, made local and national headlines with appearances on Inside Edition, Maury Povich, Leeza Gibbon show and many magazines when she successfully implanted a human pacemaker into a dog. This is a fascinating story.
Dr. Betsy Hutchens has been working at Log Cabin Animal Hospital at Geist since 2005. She is an excellent veterinarian and a fun person as you see it on the video below where Dr. Hutchens and Meghann are having fun with the piano at our lobby during lunch hours at Log Cabin Animal Hospital. How many veterinary clinics in the world have a piano at their lobby? By the way, the piano is very old, it was built in 1895 and was donated to us by one of our Log Cabin clients.
